Done Skydiving ... For Now

As of summer of 2005, we have stopped skydiving. We have sold off our gear and have just taken up other hobbies such as flying and traveling with Kaden. Also, with having a little boy around the house, even more time is spent at home and taking care of him. It was a good run for about 4.5 years. We haven't called it quits for good, but for now, we're going to devote our time to other things.

Here is what we had and where we went:

Rodeo Jump

We finally got the opportunity to head back down to Richmond after quite awhile with no jumping. We jumped three times each, and on the third jump, we were lucky enough to get Tom to jump with us and do video.

We jumped and did a "rodeo dive". It went very well, and we broke off at 5k and dumped at 3.5k. After a decent landing, we all felt really good about it.

Skydiving In Richmond

We went down for some jumping. I took a throw-away camera with me and took some pictures of myself in freefall. Flattering, eh?

Richmond The Boogie 2002

We headed down to the boogie for a couple days for some fun jumps. We did the C-130 and some coach jumps with Orly King. He is a big-time freefly pro. Sweet!

Skydiving In Chicago

We took a trip to Chicago for a few days and got to jump at Chicagoland Skydiving. We were able to do our first XC jump and jumped from the infamous "Frankenstein" Otter which had been repainted by then.

Skydiving In Florida

We headed to Florida for vacation and got the chance to jump at Skydive Space Center located in Titusville. The town isn't much, but the view is great of the Kennedy Space Center and every jump is from 15,000' AGL.
