Here are a few shots of Emma sleeping and awake and Kaden playing with his railroad set (with me).

Back To Flying
I have flown twice now since Asheville. It isn't much, but I'm just glad to get the chance to get in the air. Last week I took Tim B with me to Urbana for some night flying and dinner. The highlight is always the Airport Cafe pie and that was no exception. Nice night and good company.
Today I took my mom, John and Nikki up in the Arrow for .6 on the Hobbs around the area. We flew around Lima and Ada and I pointed out some sights. We did a touch and go at AOH while passing through.
No pictures, unfortunately.

The 2007 Christmas Gnome
While Laura tries to convince me that this is really a photo of Emma in a pointy Christmas hat, I'm pretty sure that it's an infamous Christmas Gnome from an almost-famous 70's B-movie.
Either way...enjoy the cuteness.

Christmas 2007
The day is (finally) over after much hauling of kids and their gear to the different locales. It was great to see family again and get to show off the newest addition to the family.

Emma and Daddy = Sleepy
Well, maybe I was more tired than her, but a nap today felt really good. After about ten or fifteen minutes on the chair, we joined Laura on the bed for a proper nap.

Emma Is Home
Here are a few of Emma at home, laying on the floor in the sun. She sure looks sweet and innocent sleeping like that. I know the truth that she'll be a teenager one day.
At least I'll have these photos to remember her by.
The heel cuts are from all the blood tests she's had in the last week, most of them being the Bilirubin tests.

Smooth Kaden
Last night I "styled" Kaden's hair with some water and gel since it was destroyed after his nap. little sticky up afterward is cool, but this was a distaster. Anyway, he was quite cute.

Emma Back in the Hospital
After Emma's doctor appointment on Monday, they found her Bilirubin count was over 17. She had to go in to sleep under the lights. Apparently this isn't a quick fix and we're now at day three going into four. She is currently done with the lights and blanket and just needs one more test tomorrow morning to make sure it is staying "safe".
It was sure a long few days in that room watching her lie in her diaper by herself under those lights with velcro sunglasses and an IV with splint.
However, as you can see, she's happy to be out from there!

1.5 Miles - 11 Minutes 28 Seconds (Av - 7.8mph)
Today I hit the YMCA for the third day in a row and didn't realize until I got there that I forgot my running shoes. Doh! I actually had my old running shoes (about four generations old) and they are really worn out. (They actually squeak when I walk and I still wear them as daily shoes.) With that being the situation, I decided that instead of a 5 mile run, I would see if I could push out a 1.5 mile run in 12 minutes (7.5mph average).
Well, I got about five minutes into it and felt very good, even after a lifting workout beforehand. So I started upping the speed by .1mph every minute and was at 8mph at the 9 minute mark. With about .25mile left, I punched it up to 9mph and then up to 10.1mph with about .03mile left.
This is, by far, the fastest I've ever ran anything longer than 400m. My heart rate, by the machine could finally read it, was up to 188bpm. I'm glad it didn't explode.

Back Home
We made it home from the hospital today and everyone is doing great. It's nice to be back with our things and able to spread out and able to lay on our own beds. Ahhh.
Kaden had a good daddy-prepared lunch of PB&J and Emma had some quality sleep time when she wasn't busy making funny faces at Laura. It seems she'll follow in the footsteps of Kaden.

Visit Kaden's New Site
That's right! For Christmas from Colorado, Kaden got a new Fisher Price digital camera (the kind you can drop without breaking). I figured, what better way to let him take a bunch of pictures and share/archive them than throwing them on their own (free) site?
So.... KADEN VISION is live!

Kaden Loves Emma
He loves her so much. He always gets a funny look on his face when he looks at her close up. He likes to give her kisses too. He's held her a few times already and is usually good after a minute or so.

Emma Noelle - Welcome to the World
Today at 12:51p Emma Noelle joined the world outside of Laura's body. She is 7p9o and 19.5". She's got a head full of hair and is healthy so far. She's hasn't done much besides cry and sleep and open her eyes, so I'll leave it at that.

Laura's Belly Is Huge -- And Kaden Approves!
The baby is getting huge and Laura is ready to pop. We are about 38 weeks into it and pretty sure it won't last until Christmas, the official due date.
As you can see, Kaden approves.
